Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using codeassassins.com or enrolling in any Labs course. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About Code Assassins
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of codeassassins.com (the “Site”) and all content, courses, newsletters, and services offered by Code Assassins, LLC (“Code Assassins,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company operated by Daniel Markland.
Code Assassins is an AI-powered trading research platform. We publish systematic trading research, educational Labs courses, a newsletter, and general market analysis content. Our content is for informational and educational purposes only.

2. Financial Disclaimer — Please Read Carefully
By using this Site you acknowledge and agree that:
- Past backtesting performance does not guarantee future results. Backtested strategies are hypothetical and have inherent limitations.
- All trading involves substantial risk of loss. You may lose some or all of your capital.
- Code Assassins LLC is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial planner.
- Any trading decisions you make are solely your own responsibility.
- You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any investment decisions.
- Live trading results published on this Site reflect the experience of Code Assassins LLC and are not representative of results you may achieve.
3. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Site, subscribing to our newsletter, enrolling in a Labs course, or submitting a contact form, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
4. Site Content & Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including but not limited to research posts, blog articles, course materials, videos, backtesting code, Jupyter notebooks, strategy documentation, graphics, logos, and the Code Assassins brand — is owned by Code Assassins LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Reproduce, distribute, or republish Site content without prior written permission
- Use our research, strategies, or course materials for commercial purposes
- Scrape, copy, or systematically extract content from the Site
- Represent our content as your own
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Personal, non-commercial use of publicly available content is permitted provided you attribute Code Assassins and link back to the original source.
5. Labs Courses — Enrollment & Access
Free Labs: Free course enrollment requires creating an account on the Site. Access to free Labs content is provided at no cost and may be modified, updated, or discontinued at our discretion.
Premium Labs: Paid course enrollment grants you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access the purchased course content for personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not share, resell, or redistribute premium course materials.
Course updates: We may update course content as strategies evolve and new research is published. Enrolled students receive access to updates within their enrolled course at no additional charge.
Account responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your login information. Notify us immediately at info@codeassassins.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
6. Payment & Refund Policy
Payment: Premium Labs courses are purchased through our secure payment processor, Stripe. By completing a purchase you agree to Stripe’s terms of service. We do not store your payment card information.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund period on premium Labs courses. If you are unsatisfied with a course, contact us at info@codeassassins.com within 7 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund. Refund requests made after 7 days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Pricing: Course prices are subject to change. Price changes do not affect purchases already completed.
7. Newsletter — Notes From the Lab
By subscribing to Notes From the Lab, you agree to receive periodic emails about trading research, strategy experiments, AI tools, and course updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
Newsletter content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. See Section 2 above.
8. User Accounts
To enroll in Labs courses you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your account information current
- Maintain the confidentiality of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
- Not create accounts for others or allow others to use your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the platform.
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of Code Assassins or any third party
- Transmit spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its infrastructure
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site
- Scrape or harvest content or user data without permission
- Use our research or strategies in any way that violates applicable securities laws
10. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services including Tutor LMS, MailerLite, Stripe, Google, and YouTube. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party site.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all content, courses, and services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranty of any kind. Code Assassins LLC expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
- Warranties regarding the profitability of any trading strategy discussed on the Site
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Code Assassins LLC and its owner, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Site
- Any trading losses incurred as a result of information obtained on the Site
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any bugs, errors, or inaccuracies in the content
- Any interruption or cessation of the Site
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed the amount you paid to Code Assassins LLC in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Code Assassins LLC and its owner from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Texas.
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site and any enrolled courses at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or misuse of the platform.
Upon termination, your right to use the Site and access course content ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — shall survive.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@codeassassins.com.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Code Assassins LLC regarding your use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements and understandings. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
